Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Advanced Imperial Concrete, concreteimperial.com, office@concreteimperial.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use this website, ask Advanced Imperial Concrete for an estimate, or hire us for concrete work. By doing any of those things, you agree to them, so please read them before you contact us.

If you and Advanced Imperial Concrete sign a written estimate or contract for a specific job, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page.

Who we are and what we do

Advanced Imperial Concrete is a concrete contractor based in Imperial, CA 92251, and we work in Imperial and the cities around it. Our work includes driveways, patios, sidewalks, stamped and decorative concrete, garage floors, pool decks, steps, retaining walls, footings, slab foundations, foundation raising, concrete cutting and related flatwork, which is any flat concrete surface such as a driveway, patio or walk.

You can see our full list of services on the Advanced Imperial Concrete home page and read more about our crew on the About page. A description of a service on this website is general information and is not a promise that we'll take on a particular job.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, done at your property and obligation-free. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, including the size of the area, the slab thickness, the finish you choose, access for our equipment and how much old concrete or soil has to come out.

Some conditions only show up once the job is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris, old footings or roots. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and explain the cost before we do any added work, and we won't charge for added work you haven't approved.

Unless your estimate states otherwise, it's valid for 30 days, because material and fuel prices change. Prices shown anywhere on this website are general information and are not a quote for your job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule your pour once you've accepted the estimate and any agreed deposit has been paid. Dates we give are our best plan, not a guarantee, because concrete depends on the weather, and we'll move a pour rather than place it in conditions that would weaken the slab, such as rain or extreme midday heat.

Delays caused by weather, material shortages, permit or inspection timing, or conditions on your property aren't a breach of these terms, and we'll tell you as soon as we know a date has to change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (760) 483-7530 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials or started work, you'll be responsible for the cost of materials ordered and work already done, as your written agreement describes.

Your property and your responsibilities

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know, such as sprinkler lines, septic systems, drainage problems, private utility lines or property line questions. We'll take care around what you show us, but we aren't responsible for damage to buried lines or features that weren't marked or disclosed.

Heavy trucks and equipment can leave marks on lawns, landscaping and nearby surfaces, and we'll keep that to a minimum and talk with you about the access route before we start. You're responsible for confirming property lines and any homeowner association approvals your job needs.

Some jobs need a permit. Who handles it and how will be set out in your written agreement, and the final say on what's allowed rests with the office that issues the permit.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's paid, and you'll be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting the amount owed, as the law allows. California law may also give contractors lien rights on property where work was done and not paid for.

Cracks, curing and normal variation in concrete

Concrete shrinks as it dries, so some cracking is normal and isn't a defect. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, and they reduce random cracking, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the period it needs to gain strength before use. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and we aren't responsible for damage caused by using the slab sooner, by heavy vehicles it wasn't built for, or by sealers, chemicals or de-icers applied later.

Color, texture and pattern can vary from samples and from one section to the next, especially with stamped and decorative concrete, because each batch and each day's weather is a little different. That natural variation isn't a defect.

Warranty and disclaimers

We stand behind our workmanship, and if something about your job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any specific written warranty for your job, including what it covers and for how long, will be in your written agreement.

Our workmanship coverage doesn't extend to problems caused by soil movement, flooding or drainage changes outside the work area, tree roots, settling of fill we didn't place, misuse, or changes made by others after we finish.

Outside of any written warranty in your agreement, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, express or implied, to the extent California law allows.

Limitation of liability

Advanced Imperial Concrete is licensed and insured. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway during curing, lost income or the cost of other contractors, except where the law doesn't allow that limit.

Using this website

The information on this website is general and meant to help you understand concrete work, not to replace an estimate or advice about your specific property. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't guarantee that every detail is complete or current.

The text, photos and design of this website belong to Advanced Imperial Concrete or are used with permission, and you may not copy them for commercial use without our written consent. Links to outside websites are provided for convenience, and we aren't responsible for their content.

Resolving disputes

If you have a concern about our work or a bill, please call us first, because most problems are settled quickly by walking the job together. If we can't work it out directly, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court.

Any legal action that remains will be brought in the courts of Imperial County, California, unless the law requires a different place. You may also have the right to file a complaint with the state agency that licenses contractors.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes won't affect a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree in writing.
